For Christmas 2023, I wanted to make my family's Christmas card from scratch.

Made with a mixture of watercolor and Photoshop.

Process: I knew that I wanted blue and white on the card to match the winter aesthetic, and I also wanted gingerbread cookies on the card, since my family always makes gingerbread cookies for Christmas. I started by sketching out some gingerbread cookies in my sketchbook. When I had an idea of how I wanted the layout to be, I painted the blue background, gingerbread cookies, and photo frames using watercolor and a white gel pen on some watercolor paper.

After scanning the painting, I opened it in Photoshop, put some of my senior photos over it, added text, and rearranged some of the illustrations.
